Frequently Asked Questions

Rover Stay Over is open seven-days-a-week from 6 am to 6:30 pm

Drop-off and pick-up are available anytime during our normal business hours. For boarding, we prefer check-in before 2 pm. We want to make sure your dog gets plenty of time to burn off energy so they are hungry at dinner, tired at bedtime and minimize the potential of being stressed on the first night.

For overnight boarding rates, think of Rover Stay Over like a hotel. You pay for the day of drop-off and on the day of pick-up if you come in before 12pm you are not charged for that day. If you pick up any time after 12 pm you will be charged for that day. If you’re running late in the evening you can pick up the following morning before 12pm with no extra cost.

  • Updated Vaccination Records: If already updated in our system -you all set! If you need to update your pup’s records, the easiest way is to have your vet email us copies of the vaccines at roverstayover@live.com
  • Food (Pre-Measured Preferred): Please provide your pup’s own food -preferably within pre-measured meals separated into individual baggies. This is not mandatory; however, it ensures that you have brought enough food the length of your dog’s stay and gives you the confidence that your dog is being fed the correct amount for each meal! If you forget to pack food, no worries! We can provide our grain-free house blend for additional fee of $2 per day.
  • Quick Release Collar with Name Tag Attached
  • Medications (if needed)

In order to make your dog’s stay as stress-free as possible, we highly recommend getting your dog acclimated to Rover Stay Over prior to their stay. They will be much more at ease staying in a familiar place that they enjoy. The best way to do this is by bringing them to Daycare one or more times prior to their stay. If they are not social dogs, we have options available to have their own outs individually and get to know the staff that will be working with them during their stay. The more familiar they are with the facility, the more they will relax and enjoy their stay!

Half day (4 hours or less) starts at $23 per day. Full days, group play and one-on-one are available. Give us a call to learn about our daycare packages.

  • Stimulate Mind and Body: During the day your dog will be actively engaged with stimulating game & activities such as: agility basics with our play equipment & playing with numerous safe toys to satisfy their urge to play, fetch, catch or chew.
  • Safe Socialization: Our dogs enjoy kennel-free outdoor & indoor play in a safe, fun and social environment! Each dog has been evaluated to determine their personality, play style & socialization level. Your dog will enjoy general socialization with both humans and dogs in a safe & controlled environment.
  • PAW-SITIVE Environment: All dogs are closely monitored by our highly trained staff. We use a balance of technique that focuses on making good canine decisions and respecting boundaries, by reinforcing positive outcomes.
  • Balanced Rest and Play: During the day, our daycare allows your pup to self-regulate, i.e. rest when they are tired and play when they are not. All dogs will enjoy a daily nap/lunchtime as well as periodic rest periods to promote their general well-being.
  • New Smells, People and Nerves: If your dog has been to another daycare, our daycare is a new place with new dogs, people and smells – so they can be a bit nervous! It takes most dogs anywhere from a day to several days to feel comfortable.
  • Playtime Precautions: Most dogs will be very tired after a long day of running, chasing, wrestling and having a great time! Your dog may not eat their lunch at meal time and may be thirsty, hungry and very sleepy when it’s time to head home. Think of doggie daycare like joining the gym for the first time! In addition, your dog’s pads and body will be sore after their first few visits. This is common for sensitive feet or those not accustomed to all day play!
  • Dogs will be Dogs: Many dogs love to wrestle, therefore, sometimes scrapes or scratches can occasionally happen. Our staff is trained to anticipate any problems and to discourage rough play. For some dogs, the essence of a good time is to roll around so they can be dirty! Our staff will do their best to clean up your dog before pick up. But, we are in PNW and weather is always different!
